Job Description:
SUMMARY
Cuyahoga Community College's Accounting & Financial Operations department is looking for an energetic intern who can work 15 hours per week and who is able to work at least a semester's length of time. The internship may be extended. Students applying for the internship should have a major in Accounting and have at least a 3.0 GPA. This will be an excellent opportunity to receive practical experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assist in grant financial reporting
* Prepare journal entries and provide appropriate documentation
* Assist in reconciling of accounts
* Analyze financial data in spreadsheets and other formats
* Assist with department projects
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Accounting Major
* 3.0 GPA or higher
* Satisfactorily Completed Financial Accounting (ACCT-1311)
* Satisfactorily Completed Managerial Accounting (ACCT-1341)
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel & Word
* Strong communication skills (oral & written)
* Strong interpersonal skills; can work within a group
* Must have ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a professional environment
