- Responsibilities:**
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for paving, grading, roadwork, earthwork, and site utilities projects.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
- Utilize HeavyBid software to develop detailed estimates and maintain accurate records.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to obtain pricing and scope of work.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate and complete estimates.
- Review and evaluate bid specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for estimates.
- Prepare and present bid proposals to clients and stakeholders.
- Assist in value engineering and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on paving, grading, roadwork, earthwork, and site utilities.
- Proficient in using HeavyBid software for estimating and bid preparation.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
