  • Responsibilities:**
  • Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for paving, grading, roadwork, earthwork, and site utilities projects.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Utilize HeavyBid software to develop detailed estimates and maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to obtain pricing and scope of work.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate and complete estimates.
  • Review and evaluate bid specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for estimates.
  • Prepare and present bid proposals to clients and stakeholders.
  • Assist in value engineering and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Qualifications:**
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on paving, grading, roadwork, earthwork, and site utilities.
  • Proficient in using HeavyBid software for estimating and bid preparation.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
