1st shift Injection Molding Maintenance Technician

Pay based on experience $33-43 an hour

  • The IM Maintenance Technician is a hands-on position responsible for maintenance and processing of one more molding machines and their ancillary IML automation and parts handling.
  • The IM Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to molding machines, automation, and infrastructure support systems.
  • Other duties include mold assembly/disassembly, installation, startup and processing of injection molding equipment and tooling.
  • A high level of proficiency in the maintenance of injection molding machines including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems is required. This includes both diagnosis and repair.
  • This position requires thorough knowledge of mold setup and startup, understanding of injection tooling components, including hot runner molds, ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules and guidelines, blueprints, hydraulics, electrical, pneumatics, schematics, and operational manuals.
  • Strong maintenance background in electrical, mechanical and hydraulics is required.
  • Processing experience of thin-walled food package, in-mold labeling experience, and stack mold installation and setup experience is preferred.
  • Experience required, minimum of 5 years experience in injection molding maintenance with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, minimum of 3 years experience of injection molding process.
  • Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs will be required occasionally. Working around heated surfaces and moving machine parts is required constantly.
