Description

WHAT WE'RE ABOUT:

THE RUNDOWN:

This position will help schedule and check in/out patients for appointments. In this role, you will be the patient's first point of contact.

Requirements

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  1. Checks in/out patients, makes any follow-up appointments, and addresses any questions patients have regarding additional visits.
  2. Oversees the waiting area, coordinating patient movement, and presents any problems or irregularities to the supervisor.
  3. Responds to patient's needs by obtaining available clinic resources such as translation services, patient navigator, eligibility coordinator.
  4. Answer clinic phones providing excellent customer service, directing calls to the appropriate location.
  5. Collects and processes patient payments to ensure accurate posting on account, reconciliation of monies collected, and enter accurate data on patient forms.
  6. Demonstrates understanding of the registration guidelines established for the specialties within the clinic.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  1. High School diploma or equivalent, required.
  2. Experience in clinic, healthcare setting, or call setting, preferred.
  3. Computer literate.
  4. Strong communication skills.
  5. Culturally sensitive to diverse patients and employees.

WORKING CONDIITIONS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
