Architectural Spec Writer


Job Details

Are you a highly motivated individual with good communication skills looking to be a part of a growing company? LaForce is looking for an Architectural Spec Writer to analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare for projects. This individual will also meet with Architectural Consultants to review project requirements.

Major Responsibilities

  • Meet with Architectural Consultant personnel to review project requirements.
  • Plan and execute strategy discussions.
  • Prepare written specifications using existing formats.
  • Maintain existing account relationships.
  • Attend meetings with architects.
  • Advise estimating, sales and engineering in dealing with projects that department has specified.
  • Maintain code and product knowledge.


Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 1 year industry experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from salespeople, clients, and customers.
  • Ability to correspond with architects to evaluate the hardware requirements of projects.
