Job Summary:

The Dietary Float is at the forefront of customer service providing patients and guests with service above and beyond expectations to ensure a memorable food and dining experience. Must maintain sanitary conditions of all tableware, pots, pans, and other dietary equipment, as well as, assist in preparing needed food items in compliance with the Sanitary Code of NH. The Dietary Float must ensure that all duties are completed on schedule.

Essential Functions:

  1. Greet patients anddiscuss their meal options and orders while maintaining proper dietaryrestrictions as set by physicians/ dietitian
  2. Utilize computer ordering system to record patient orders and submit to the kitchen
  3. Clearing trays frompatient rooms after service periods and recording intakes for nursingdocumentation
  4. Daily stocking, cleaningand rotation of food items in dietary aid station. Light food prep work
  5. Greet guests in thecafeteria and be able to serve food, take special orders and cash themout
  6. Must be able to utilize P.O.S. system and be able to handle moneyappropriately and make change
  7. Daily stocking, cleaningand rotation of food items in cafeteria
  8. Proper cleaning andsanitation of dishes and food contact services
  9. Light prep work asindicated by lead cook/food service manager
  10. Other tasks as indicatedby the food service manager

Essential Requirements: Must know how to operate dishwashers and other kitchen equipment. Must have full knowledge of tray setting procedure. Ability to read Dietary manual. Healthcare experience preferred. This position is on a 2 week rotating schedule. Varied hours with every otherweekend and alternating holidays.
