Purpose of Position
Free meal with every 3+ hour shift!
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Sweep, mop, and clean the kitchen, service areas, restrooms, dining room, etc.
* Break down cardboard boxes and place them in the appropriate bins; take bin out to recycling when full
* Operate trash compactor & baler when necessary
* Hang clean uniforms for Chick-Fil-A, Panda Express, and Self-Branded concepts in their respective locations
* Removes refuse from the following areas of the dining center: kitchen, service areas, restrooms, dining rooms, storerooms.
* Maintains orderliness of the storerooms, coolers, and freezers
* Stocks inventory items in the kitchen & Dining's restrooms: refill soap and change paper towel dispensers when empty
* Ensure checklists are being completed in a timely manner
* Provide exceptional customer service to our customers
* Other tasks & duties as assigned
Required Competencies
* Must be 18 years of age or older
* Able to stand on one's feet for 3-4 hours.
* Able to lift up to 30 pounds
* Must be able to work with the preparation and disposal of fish, poultry, beef, lamb, pork and other meat products in professional culinary commercial kitchen.
* Must be able to adhere to all safety and sanitation policies which include removal of all jewelry and piercings except for a plain wedding band while working in our facilities.
* Hairnets and beard restraints are also a requirement in our food preparation areas
