Summary

The Accounts Receivable Manager will oversee and manage the account receivable s function, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, collection, and reconciliation of accounts. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to streamline processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.


Essential Duties

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounts receivable departments.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and ensure timely collection of payments.
  • Review and approve credit terms and credit limits for new and existing customers.
  • Daily processing of cash deposits and competent on basic Treasury reporting of JP Morgan Access.
  • Maintain customer data.
  • Prepare and analyze AR reports to present to senior management.
  • Lead, train, and mentor accounts receivable staff to achieve departmental goals.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of the billing process.
  • Deliver compliance related reporting to 3rd party auditors and banking partners.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in accounts receivable management.
  • Ad hoc reporting and other duties as assigned.


Knowledge Milestones:

  • Maintain documentation for all accounts receivable activity and correspondence in an organized manner.
  • Provide accounting assistance to clients, by responding to inquiries, recommending actions, and reconciling account issues.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and requests for internal stakeholders.
  • Collect and manage documentation for the company LOC.

Education & Experience

Bachelor s Degree from four-year college or university; 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence using professional vocabulary and industry terminology. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.


Computer Skills

Job requires specialized computer skills. Must be adept at using various applications including database, spreadsheet, word processing, presentation creation/editing, communicate by email and use scheduling software. Excel skills should include a basic knowledge of pivot tables and X-Lookup.


Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
