We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is a permanent role that offers an exciting opportunity to work in the fast-paced world of manufacturing. The successful candidate will be a hands-on, proactive individual with a strong background in hydraulics, mechanical knowledge, repairing, gearbox repair, food manufacturing maintenance leadership experience, motors, electrical troubleshooting, and conveyor systems. This role is pivotal to our operations and requires a dedicated professional with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
As a Lead Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:
1. Leading a team of maintenance technicians and ensuring high-quality maintenance work.
2. Overseeing the troubleshooting and repair of complex mechanical and hydraulic systems.
3. Performing preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure efficient operations.
4. Repairing and maintaining gearbox and motor systems.
5. Utilizing your electrical troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair electrical issues.
6. Ensuring the smooth operation of conveyor systems.
7. Collaborating with the manufacturing team to optimize production processes.
8. Training and mentoring junior technicians.
9. Adhering to safety regulations and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
10. Implementing continuous improvement strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years experience in a maintenance leadership role within the food manufacturing industry.
2. Solid knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, gearbox repair, and motors.
3. Proven experience in electrical troubleshooting.
4. Experience with conveyor systems.
5. Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor a team.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
7. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. A strong commitment to safety and quality.
10. A degree or certification in a relevant field is preferred.
