Job Description
Position Purpose: With a focus on maintaining a clean and inviting customer shopping environment, the Custodian maintains the physical facilities of the grocery store. A Custodian can work at a fast pace, has a keen eye for safety and will be able to help execute an assortment of duties throughout the store.
Responsibilities: A Custodian is a responsible, friendly person who can safely work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.
A Custodian's responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and fellow team members.
- Engaging with customers through smiles, greetings, and genuine thank you.
- Maintaining the store's floors by sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, and sealing.
- Cleaning and maintaining the entrance of the store, eating areas, restrooms, warehouse and janitorial sink and supply area.
- Cleaning vending machines, water fountains, electric mart carts.
- Emptying and disposing of trash collected in various trash receptacles throughout the store.
- All other related duties as assigned
