Administrative Assistant
Questar III BOCES announces an immediate vacancy for a full-time Administrative Assistant. This position will contribute to the effective and efficient operation of Questar's Special Education program located at the Central Office in Castleton, NY.

This position will contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the Special Education office and will participate in the daily functioning of the program. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: handling office management duties, budget management support, coordinating and scheduling meetings and appointments, client database management, and other tasks as assigned by the Director.

Qualifications as outlined below. Civil Service residency requirements will apply (must be a resident of Albany, Rensselaer, Columbia, Greene, Ulster or Dutchess County at time of hire).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and EITHER:
a). Six years of clerical experience, at least three of which shall have been in an administrative or supervisory capacity; OR:
b). An associate degree in secretarial science and four years of clerical experience, at least two of which have been in an administrative or supervisory capacity; OR:
c). Graduation from a recognized four-year college or university and two years of experience as defined in "B" above.
