JOB SUMMARY
An immediate need has arisen for a compassionate and autonomous Registered Nurse who can effectively plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in patient care situations. The ideal candidate will possess superior leadership skills, have the ability to perform safely under stressful conditions, and promote positive outcomes through collaboration and communication with all involved parties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute plans that include strategies to attain expected outcomes
- Implement patient-specific plans of care interventions and medical plans of care as appropriate
- Coordinate patient care delivery and employ patient teaching to promote health and safety
- Evaluate progress toward outcomes, practice ethically, and attain knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice
- Integrate evidence and research findings into practice
- Effectively communicate in all areas of practice and demonstrate leadership skills within the professional practice setting
- Collaborate with patients, families, the inter-professional team, and others in the conduct of nursing practice
- Utilize appropriate resources to plan and provide nursing services that are safe, effective, and financially responsible
- Practice in an environmentally safe and healthy manner and foster knowledge and participation with the shared decision-making model of the NCH Healthcare System
QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- Intermediate computer knowledge
- RN Residency Program to be completed by all new RNs
