GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Safely chauffeur passengers from diverse pickup locations to their desired destinations, utilizing a passenger shuttle van with a capacity not exceeding 24 individuals at any given time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Driving: Safely operate buses or other passenger vehicles on predetermined routes or according to specific schedules. This duty is performed daily, about 50% of the time.
2. Passenger Safety: Ensure the safety of passengers by following all traffic laws, maintaining control of the vehicle at all times, and enforcing safety regulations such as seatbelt usage. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
3. Mission Service: Provide excellent TEO or other GIA staff with service by assisting passengers with boarding, disembarking, and answering any questions they may have about the route or schedule. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
4. Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Report any mechanical issues or concerns to maintenance staff. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
5. Route Navigation: Familiarize yourself with the routes you will be driving, including stops, landmarks, and potential detours. This duty is performed weekly, about 5% of the time.
6. Emergency Procedures: Be prepared to respond to emergencies such as accidents, medical emergencies, or breakdowns. Follow established procedures for evacuating passengers and contacting emergency services if necessary. This duty is performed weekly, about 10% of the time.
7. Compliance: Adhere to all relevant regulations and requirements set forth by the Department of Transportation (DOT), including hours of service regulations, vehicle weight limits, and driver qualifications. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
8. Other assigned driving tasks set forth by leadership.
9. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area, e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc., plus 2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Arkansas Class A driver's license with Passenger certification
Valid First Aid and CPR certification. (Can be obtained with Goodwill Arkansas)
