Job Details
Perform under supervision a variety of routine and advanced technical duties related to preparing and dispensing drugs in accordance with standard procedures and techniques.
Duties
- Retrieve and interpret medication orders
- Perform pharmaceutical calculations, taking into account patient and drug characteristics
- Enter medication orders into a pharmacy computer system for pharmacist's review
- Label and fill medication to the appropriate patient
- Receive and triage information requests; research and provide information where appropriate; refer other inquires to the pharmacist
- Inventory, order, receive, and stock drugs and supplies
- Retrieve discontinued or expired medications from stock and patient areas; discard or return to stock as appropriate; complete corresponding documentation
- Assist other technicians in performing complex procedures and/or calculations as required
- Performs related work as assigned
- Supports and executes the mission, ethics, and goals of the company effectively
- Represents themselves in a positive and professional manner in the company and community
- Adheres to dress code with a clean and neat professional appearance
- Reports on time and as scheduled in order to complete work within the designated time
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook, Employees Agreement, or communicated from the executive team
