Your Role: Enhancing Equipment Performance
As a Preventative Maintenance Technician at Emery Sapp & Sons, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our fleet of construction equipment. Your focus on preventive maintenance will minimize downtime, reduce repair costs, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on construction equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
- Identify and address potential issues before they escalate, ensuring equipment reliability and safety.
- Conduct fluid checks, lubrication, filter replacements, and other preventive maintenance tasks to extend equipment lifespan.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including parts used, repairs completed, and maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with equipment operators and mechanics to prioritize maintenance needs and ensure timely repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment problems and performing minor repairs as needed.
- Support other maintenance initiatives and projects as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in equipment maintenance preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in preventive maintenance, preferably in a construction or heavy equipment environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and maintenance software.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
