The New Grad RN Residency Program Manager within the Professional Development and Education Department at The George Washington University Hospital is a key leadership role responsible for the strategic planning, development, and management of the New Grad RN Residency Program. This position focuses on providing support, education, and a seamless transition for newly graduated nurses entering the professional nursing workforce.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Masters degree in nursing (MSN) or a related field. Masters degree in nursing education is preferred.
  • Current, unrestricted nursing license (RN) in the District of Columbia, or eligiblity to be endorsed
  • BLS

Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience in acute care setting, to include at least two (2) years experience supporting new graduates nurse residency program or other relevant training and development programs.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in nursing education, orientation, and residency program management.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, curriculum development, and program evaluation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
