This job is responsible for transporting patients and equipment between departments/locations. Provides basic aspects of patient care patient mobility and maintenance of equipment under the direction of a Registered Nurse in a defined care team. Contributes to the delivery of patient focused care. Essential Duties:Assists with cleaning of equipment and maintenance of department; may exchange oxygen tanks and/or attach IVs to wheelchairs or gurneys as necessary. Escorts patients at the time of discharge from their room to personal transportation. Maintains a safe work and patient environment adhering to the hospitals Safety Risk Management Regulatory Standards and infection prevention. Provide Client and Patient Relations. Performs basic life support gives assistance to medical staff during emergencies and may respond to hospital codes.
