About the Role

We are seeking an energetic, growth-oriented, and creative individual to lead the Procurement Team. This person will act as a worldwide strategic liaison between stakeholders who have purchasing needs and vendors looking to partner with the business, manage organizational spend, maximize the value of vendor partnerships, and mitigate potential third-party risks. The Procurement Manager will also strategize to find cost-effective deals and suppliers and discover the best ways to optimize the supply base.

Key Responsibilities:

Centralized Procurement Authority: Act as the single point of contact for all procurement requests globally, ensuring a streamlined approach to buying and managing goods and services.

Vendor Relationship Management: Forge and maintain strategic relationships with vendors, managing all aspects from performance evaluation to contract renewal, ensuring we get competitive pricing and timely delivery of products.

Strategic Negotiation and Contract Management: Leverage strong negotiation skills to support and assist functional leaders, and at times lead negotiations, to secure favorable terms with vendors. Perform thorough contract reviews and cost analyses to maximize value from our investments.

Usage Optimization: Collaborate with our IT team to implement and manage systems for monitoring utilization across the organization. Regularly review usage to align with actual needs, identifying opportunities to reduce costs by reallocating or terminating underutilized goods and services.

Spend Analysis, Market Research and Vendor Sourcing: Continuously scout for new vendors, geographies and procurement channels, assessing the benefits of direct purchases vs. channel options to ensure cost-efficiency and operational alignment.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams worldwide to understand evolving requirements and ensure the procurement strategy supports these needs effectively.

Compliance and Risk Mitigation: Maintain vigilant compliance with legal and regulatory standards, proactively managing risks associated with procurement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related degree.
  • Advanced credential preferred (e.g. CPSM)
  • 10 years of work experience with increasing responsibility w/ consistent track record of accomplishments.
  • 3 - 5 years supervisory preferred.
  • Indirect and technology purchasing experience.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated success in a collaborative, fast growing environment, proven attention to detail.
  • High degree of motivation, responsibility, and flexibility.
  • Knowledge of procurement automation such as e-sourcing and e-procurement.
  • Ability to gather, clean, analyze and interpret data.
  • Ability to identify, minimize and mitigate threats to the business.
