We are looking for full-time, experienced Line Cooks to join our Splash restaurant team. Can be assigned to any station - Saute, Grill, Pantry, and Banquets, may perform additional prep work as needed to set up other stations.

Shifts: Need Both AM (7-3) & PM (3-11)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Answer, report, and follow the Chefs Team s instructions throughout your shift.
  • Set up and stock station with all necessary supplies in a timely and organized manner.
  • Take inventory of station s mis en place and carry out daily prep list production.
  • Communicate with Chef s Team to identify additional prep items needed during the shift or additional duties to perform.
  • Prepares food items through various techniques, such as blending, chopping, slicing, mixing, pouring, etc.
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff to ensure food comes out simultaneously in high, consistent quality and in a timely fashion.
  • Continue prepping mis en place as needed to stay ahead throughout the shift as meal service allows.
  • Prepares daily specials as determined by Chefs Team.
  • Communicates with the Chefs Team on any additional prep that may be needed during the shift. Other duties may be given for that day along with other daily responsibilities.
  • Able to read food tickets and prepares all assigned menu items using appropriate preparation techniques. May call orders to and communicate with other stations to ensure the appropriate timing of food preparation. May communicate with wait staff regarding items ordered and assists in expediting guest meals.
  • Maintain high food quality standards by testing foods through sight, smell, and taste.
  • Clean and organize the station throughout the shift and leaves it ready and clean for the next shift. Clean counters, storage areas, cold/hot holding equipment, cooking equipment, and sweep/mop floors to ensure that sanitary conditions are met.
  • Team player approach. Help others when needed so others will help you.

  • Must have at least 2 years of professional line cooking experience in a fast casual, high volume restaurant.
  • Open availability necessary for day and evening shifts.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with coworkers and customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure and take constructive criticism.
  • Excellent knife skills.
  • Strong communication skills, keep lines of communication open with all coworkers.
  • Strong understanding of basic cooking methods.
  • Strong team player who understands that a kitchen cannot operate with just one person.
  • Self-motivated to grow in your career, hungry to learn more.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
