SUMMARY

The Data Entry clerk position works in the Operations department and will perform daily activities related to such department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Submit load entry based on email or call received from Customers (internal or external).
  • Notify SCM team when a supplier is requesting a PU on a locked-out day.
  • Notify SCM when XRef is not enabled or entities does not exist.
  • Work with Carrier Team LTL to ensure last minute loads are entered correctly (when needed).
  • Split workload received on specific mail boxes with the rest of the team.
  • Process document s images (BOL, Invoices, Packing list, Tender, Pedimentos, Inbond, PUL, etc) in Optimiz (for specific accounts).
  • Identify and implement continual improvement initiatives to enhance the performance of the position, team, and company.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Fluent English

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
