Job Details
The ideal candidate will be responsible for using their analytical mindset to analyze and interpret financial data, then relating it to potential business trends and issues. This candidate will feel comfortable using insights they have discovered to communicate important themes and discoveries to company leadership. Although this position is remote you must live in the Northeast and be able to get to the Boston area within 2 hours for occasional meetings.
Responsibilities
- Work as a business partner for commercial leaders providing advise and support to maximize sales, margins and expenses and make recommendations for continued financial prosperity
- Analyze current and past financial data and performance to make recommendations on profit enhancement
- Responsible for month end reporting and distributing the reports to key stakeholders
- Consistently analyze financial information based on both routine and ad-hoc reports
- Assist with the annual budget and monthly forecasting process.
- Assist with financial analysis for possible M&A targets.
- Interpret financial data to recognize changing trends, patterns, and their meaning related to key performance indicators
- Communicate financial insights suggesting business issues to management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance or equivalent experience
- 3 - 6 years' financial analysis and modeling experience
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Understand FP&A Analysis, performance tracking, variance analysis, order to cash process and KPI application
