What you will be doing:
The Raw Receiver owns the flow of raw bulk material to and from the plant making this a critical role to the success of the operation. As a Raw Receiver, under direct supervision, you will be controlling the flow of our raw milk products, both receiving and load-out fluids. You may also be tasked with maintaining the high level of food quality standards that our customers have come to expect, by being responsible for the Clean-In-Place procedures of the tankers that deliver that raw milk, and the raw tanks we keep it in. Main responsibilities:
Our Union contract allows for a wide range of position movement for our Production Workers, in general. As a result, you may be asked, as often as from one shift to the next, to function within multiple areas/shifts. Here is a list of just some of the responsibilities that you may be asked to oversee on any given shift:
- Follow safe practices and rules
- Follow GMPs and ensure drivers and anyone in the raw receiving bay are compliant
- Receive fluid products (raw milk, condensed, OJ and cream)
- Yard organization (oversee orderly receiving queue, moving trailers, etc.)
- Load-out fluid skim and cream (count tank inventory, complete bulk tote filling, etc.)
- Test raw product
- CIP trailers, tanks, and lines
- Keeping work area within 6-S standards
- Follows SOPs
- Keep proper Safety Chain records of sanitation and Process Control Sheet documentation
- Clean and Sanitize equipment in compliance with SSOP's and Safeway's QA department
- Keep work area clean and neat at all times
- Comply with all 6S and HACCP requirements
- Train new employees
- Any other job as designated by the Foreman or Supervisor
The targeted hourly pay rate range for this position is $29.97 per hour. Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement.

We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Experience working in raw receiving
- Have sampler graders license or able to pass licensing exam.
- 2 - 3 years of experience preferred
