Description
I. POSITION PURPOSE
A. Provides cleaning for St. Mary Church and parish hall in Castle Rock.
St. Mary Catholic Church in Castle Rock is seeking a part-time, 2-3 hr/week custodian for the church and hall buildings. This position is administered through St. Rose but all work will occur at St. Mary's in Castle Rock. This position ensures cleanliness of parish facilities. II. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assures St. Mary Church and parish hall are maintained in a clean and orderly manner including dust mopping or vacuuming floors, cleaning bathrooms, washing windows, and collecting/disposing of garbage and recycling.
- Attends annual Archdiocesan safety meeting.
- Maintains a level of knowledge and skills required to function as a Custodian. This is accomplished through reading appropriate materials and attending appropriate workshops or participating in other training opportunities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QualificationsJOB QUALIFICATITONS- Ability to use cleaning chemicals safely, recognize hazardous situations, and work in a safe manner.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
- Ability to lift and move objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
