Description

The Front Desk Agent is responsible for communicating with members/visitors in a highly professional manner; retaining membership, answering calls, answering member questions, and various clerical tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities for guest services agent

  • Accepts reservations, changes and cancellations in the absence of CORE Department Staff
  • Ability to select and block rooms for arriving guests
  • Greeting all guests in a friendly and warm manner
  • Overseeing all cash/credit card transactions and maintain a personal bank
  • Ensuring the highest level of guest service by embracing the Delta Service philosophy of being Welcoming, Engaging and Exceeding our guests expectations
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with fellow colleagues in Housekeeping and in the Maintenance, with colleagues throughout the hotel/company
  • Perform other duties in Front Office as assigned
  • Interacts with all guests
  • You will ensure that proper payment methods are collected along with recording any special requests from the guest
  • You will follow set procedures on posting, charges, cashing checks, safe deposits, and refunds
  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts including overnights and weekends
  • Physical requirements include the ability to work long hours, Ability to stand for long periods of time without sitting or leaning
  • Light speed or Opera is a plus!


Qualifications

Working Conditions / Physical Demands / Knowledge / Skills / Abilities (KSA's):

Command of the English language both written and verbal. Well organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Always maintain a professional appearance and manner. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Ability to work beyond standard hours when necessary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the guests' needs. Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from supervisor. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent with at least one (1) year hospitality experience.
