ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct inventory location management to ensure all items are appropriately placed. This involves monitoring product placement and maintaining rules to avoid disorderly movement or confusion.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure inventory tracking and accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Train warehouse staff regarding counting policies and processes; using the ERP system, and discrepancy resolution.
- Oversee and ensure accurate recording of "Bin to Bin" movements; resolve discrepancies, identify root cause/systemic issues causing discrepancies and propose improvement measures to prevent recurrence of discrepancies.
- Maintain relationships and collaborate with warehouse management company regarding continuous improvement of inventory conditions.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports regarding inventory levels, discrepancies and correction/improvement actions.
- Oversee the shipment of inventory to trucks, verifying accuracy of quantity, packaging, and destination.
- Identify and implement methods to reduce product damage within the warehouse and during shipment.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Three (3) years' experience in a computer-aided warehousing operation
- Five plus (5+) years' experience in warehousing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong Math skills
- SAGE and/or IFS knowledge is preferred
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and vendors
- Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, advanced organizational skills
- Must be detail orientated
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs and to push-pull up to 75lbs
- Must be able to work long periods while continuously standing, twisting, bending, reaching, and stooping
- Must be able to work in an environment, which is dusty and noisy
- Must be able to work in plant environment with extreme seasonal temperatures
