null Start date: ASAP Orientation: Every Monday Shift & Scheduling: Position 1: Night shift 7p 7a Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Position 2 Night shift 7p 7a, 72 hours/pay Weekend Requirement: Position 1: Weekend Option - Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Position 2: Every 4th weekend Floating Requirement: No Call: No Required certifications: Basic Fetal Monitoring, NRP, ACLS, BLS # of beds - L&D beds : 4 Triage beds: 2 Postpartum beds: 5 births per day: 1-3 births per year: 480 Ratios typically 1:2 Labor patients 1:1, Couplet care 3:1, Unstable antepartum 1:1, Stable antepartum 2:1 Exp or Must have skills - 2 years of experience required : yes - Respiratory Therapist in unit 24/7? No, but in house. - Support staff on unit: House Supervisor who floats & respiratory when called or during C-Sections - Nurse manager occasionally see patients (when needed)? Yes - Need experience with: Antepartum with Magnesium drips, L&D, receiving baby in C-Section, Recovery of post C-Section, Nursery baby stable on vapotherm, healthy couplet care. - OB/Neonatologist in house? No - 24/7 pharmacy in house? No - Clinical background in types of cases? Healthy Mom/Baby, Antepartum/Magnesium drips, - May float to other units of hospital (usually MedSurg)? No - Must be able to function in L&D and couplet care? Yes
