Our challenge

We are immediately looking for an Infrastructure Lead or Technical Architect in Pittsburgh PA and Dallas TX.

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Infrastructure Architecture team to design, implement, and support the on perm and cloud infrastructure platform.
  • Lead and mentoring technical team members.
  • Provide direct analysis and recommendations associated with the implementation or migration of applications.
  • Implementing and maintaining infra management solutions including initial and ongoing configuration of related automation, notifications, and reporting capabilities
  • Work with a variety of legacy applications and platforms and work with application teams to implement or migrate associated components to platform.
  • Identify and troubleshoot servers and application service events and issues as well as work with application vendors to efficiently solve issues.
  • Design and Develop strategy for DR environment of solutions.
  • Documenting architecture, best practices, and procedures
  • Defines design patterns for a companys common technology architecture structure.
  • Develops and monitors the organizations technology architecture and plays a leading role in the vision and development of the companys future technology.
  • Ensures infrastructure designs and upgrades are made in accordance with established standards, patterns, policies, procedures and software licensing agreements.
  • Identifies and establishes best practices for technology architecture, while providing expert advice on core infrastructure initiatives.
  • Interprets technology requirements; designs technology architecture and drives the adoption.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Redhat Linux, Distributed storage and compute clusters On-Perm BareMetal, VMs and containers.
  • Experience or awareness to manage and support IBM GPFS and IBM Spectrum Conductor for Spark platform.
  • Experience to manage python environments with Anaconda or Pip.
  • Strong skills to develop, debug Bash, Python scripts.
  • Experience to troubleshoot server/application performance issues.
  • Experience with On-perm, cloud environment (AWS and/or Azure), Infrastructure as a service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and other native capabilities
  • Hands-on experience architecting, designing, implementing, and supporting Python/Java data application clusters.
  • Hands-on experience in all aspects of infrastructure (compute, Upgrade, Patching, CI/CD, containers, storage, platforms, data, networking, SSL certifications and security)

It would be great if you also had:

  • Knowledge of working with Redhat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and Kubernetes will be added advantage for the position.
  • Knowledge of networking and web standards such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, HTTP, web security, load balancers, firewalls are desired.
  • CI/CD Tools any industry standard tools are acceptable Jenkins preferred.
  • Experience with configuration management Ansible preferred.
  • Programming experience Bash, Python preferred and Java

Additional Information The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with Pennsylvania and Texas law, the base salary for this role if filled within TX and PA, is $130K-$135K/year & benefits (see below).
