A Tier-1 Automotive Supplier is seeking a dedicated EHS Coordinator that thrives in a fast-paced team environment. This role involves identifying potential hazards, conducting safety audits, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The EHS Coordinator works closely with management and employees to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.


What You ll Do:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Act as a liaison between management and employees on safety-related issues.
  • Promote safety awareness and encourage proactive safety practices.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes.
  • Prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain records of all incidents and corrective actions taken.
  • Conduct new hire safety orientations.
  • Deliver safety training programs for employees.
  • Maintain training records and ensure all employees are adequately trained
  • Manage ISO 14001 including internal and external audits
  • Deliver safety training programs for employees.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health from accredited college preferred
  • Experience: 2 or more years of safety, environmental or health experience in a manufacturing facility


Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to conduct effective training
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, Workers Compensation and ISO 14001
