The **Cook Supervisor** is a critical member of our team, planning, purchasing, preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks for up to 250 children and adults every day. The Cook Supervisor also has responsibility for dishwashing, light kitchen maintenance, and supervising other kitchen staff, all to help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely every day.

**What youll do**:

* Prepare and serve snacks and meals according to daily menu or for special events.

* Plan meals and snacks, and purchase groceries and kitchen supplies within budget.

* Assist with delivery and storage of groceries and kitchen supplies, including safe temperature of perishables.

* Ensure adherence to health and sanitation standards for the kitchen and storage areas.

* Collect and clean dishes according to health and sanitation standards and/or supervise the staff who do so.

* Plan and post menus in advance in consultation with parents and center staff and according to applicable food program and/or licensing nutrition standards.

* Supervise other kitchen staff.

* Maintain kitchen records as needed.

**Who you are:**

* You have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.

* You have at least *three years* of professional cooking experience

* You have a valid Food Sanitation Certification or will obtain within three months of hire.

* You are adept at communicating effectively both in writing and verbally.

* You are skilled at making purchases within a set budget.

* You value the opportunity to contribute to the health and well-being of children.

* You collaborate effectively and enjoy working as part of a team.

**The details:**

* *Location*: Early Childhood Center setting ()

* *Schedule*: Full-time, hourly; center is open Mon-Fri, 7:30am-5:30pm; assigned shifts will vary.

* *Salary*: Range starts at $15.94/hr; offers are commensurate with experience.
