CNC Machinist
Madison Heights, MI
Job Summary
The CNC Machinist will set up and operate CNC mills/lathes centers to perform multiple machining and cutting operations on various materials.
Responsibilities
Supports the Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety (QEH&S) policy and strategic direction of the organization
Sets up, operates and balances finished parts on the designated balancing equipment to within required specs
Build pumps with no assistance, while meeting production standards.
Positions and secures deburring and cutting tools onto holding fixtures of machine, using hand tools
Operate multiple machines simultaneously including machines at the operators' classification level or lower, or do other work that the Company deems compatible.
Manually deburrs pans that have been machined using air grinders, files, sanding discs and other tools capable of removing burrs from parts satisfactory
Adjusts and changes machine tools to ensure deburring meets company specifications
Other duties may include: degreasing, porosity testing, clean-up, material moving
Basic Qualifications
1-2+ years of experience
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Set-up & Tooling experience
Key Competencies
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Technical/Business School Certificate or other post high school training (2+ years' duration) a plus.
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to read prints is a plus
