Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble cell pairs and modules in accordance with approved design data to include procedures and drawings
- Assemble a variety of products ranging in volume from unique single piece units to repetitive hundred unit runs
- Occasionally communicate and work with engineering to assist them in developing robust assembly processes
- Perform rework on assembled components based on written and verbal direction
- Complete build documentation records, both written and electronic, with a high level of precision and accuracy
- Perform Quality Assurance functions to include visual inspection, dimensional verification and document review
- Ability to work on live cells, modules and batteries
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Extreme focus and attention to detail
- Ability to clearly and concisely communicate observations, challenges and successes with production manager, engineering and customer representatives
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Basic understanding of DC electrical circuits
- Ability to read and understand mechanical assembly drawings and process specifications
- Ability to operate various hand-tools and numerous other manufacturing equipment
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Able to adapt quickly to new methods and techniques, to learn quickly and can work independently or as part of team
- Basic computer knowledge with some experience with Microsoft Office
Working Conditions
- Class 10,000 clean room, temperature and humidity-controlled space
- Safety glasses and Steel toe shoes required
- Standing - 75%, Sitting - 25%,
- Working with computer - 25%
- Ability to lift 50lbs
Requirements
- HS Diploma
- 2 Years + Mechanical and electrical assembly experience
