What is this position?

The Survey Drafter will be responsible for overseeing precise and timely drawing design, while ensuring regulatory compliance, safety, and accuracy.


What will you do?

As a Survey Drafter, you will:

  • Process survey and produce drawings for pipeline and facility projects.
  • Provide drafting and technical assistance for pipeline mapping assignments.
  • Handle data processing for initial surveys, construction stages, and final documentation to ensure precision and uniformity.
  • Collaborate with survey leads on survey initiatives.
  • Collect necessary information from designated sources.
  • Track and report on project progress and quality standards.
  • Apply basic problem-solving methods.
  • Perform tasks under some level of supervision.
  • Prepare, input, and manage metadata.
  • Utilize ESRI and Autodesk tools to create, validate, and modify vector and raster datasets.
  • Collaborate with others to find suitable solutions to technical and operational issues.


What are the requirements?

  • GED or high school diploma required
  • 2+ years of drafting experience
  • CAD certification preferred
  • Understanding of AutoCAD and compatible software
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D, Survey field, and ESRI ArcPro experience preferred
  • Familiarity with industry and field environment standards and practices
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
