Therapeutic Support Specialist - DMH Flexible Support Services

Exciting opportunity to join Riverside Community Care as a Therapeutic Support Specialist!
In this vital position, the Therapeutic Support Specialist provide safe, therapeutic, strength based skill development and resiliency building activities for youth and families, within the home and community.
The focus of these activities support include:
* social and recreational engagement
* development and maintenance of friendships
* maintaining personal boundaries
* stress management/relaxation/and mindfulness
* daily living skills (ie: money management/use of public transportation)
* secondary education/pre-vocational/career planning and preparations
* strategies to prevent and address bullying of others and being bullied
Schedule: 40 hours per week; Due to COVID-19, programming is mostly remote with in-person services being provided when able to do so safely.

Required Skills
* Valid drivers license and regular access to a reliable vehicle required
Required Experience
* Bachelors Degree or Associates degree in mental health related discipline required
* Minimum of 2 years experience working with youth and families
