Piper Maddox has partnered with leading Solar EPC business who have solar projects across Texas and Ohio, As they expand their footprint in renewable energy, they are seeking a dedicated Solar Superintendent to oversee and lead our piling operations across these key projects.
Role Overview:
Reporting directly to the General Superintendent, the Solar Superintendent will play a pivotal role in managing a team of 3-10 individuals, including a Foreman and Craft Labor, across multiple solar construction sites. This senior-level position requires expertise in pile driving specific to solar projects, with a focus on training, mentoring, and overseeing all pile-related activities.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee solar construction piling activities.
- Implement high slope designs like XTR and utilize grade lasers for tracker blending.
- Conduct mechanical work on pile driving machines and manage GPS operations.
- Ensure compliance with project schedules and monitor construction activities for quality and safety.
- Collaborate with subcontractors to resolve issues related to drawings, schedule adherence, and cost management.
- Develop and monitor schedules, ensuring targets for progress and productivity are met.
- Maintain detailed site records and logs for daily operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a superintendent, with a strong background in solar.
- Proficiency with pile driving equipment, GPS systems, and high slope installations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Familiarity with construction management software and industry standards.
- Strong leadership qualities and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
