Consilio is seeking a Legal Consultant. This is a contract opportunity that is Onsite on an as needed basis. Ideal candidate will need familiarity and experience applying the California Business and Professions Code, California Rules of Professional Conduct, and Rules of Procedure of the State Bar of California.
Job Details:
- Location: County of Orange, CA
- Duration: 3 months, may extend
- Part-time: 15-30 hours a week
- Start Date: ASAP, likely July start
- Pay Rate: $90-120/hr
Ideal Candidate:
- Ideal candidate will need familiarity and experience applying the California Business and Professions Code, California Rules of Professional Conduct, & Rules of Procedure of the State Bar of California
- Ability to work on any applicable issues that may arise during the disciplinary process including correspondence with the Office of Chief Trial Counsel and other representatives from the State Bar of California. The Contractor will be required to research issues that include, but will not be limited to:
a. relevant documents and files; and
b. conferring with key players, including third parties, experts, preparation of statements, the presentation of evidence, preparation of declarations and preparation of character references or witness testimony
- Transmission of documents (done in a digital file) may be done via e-mail.
- Experience with legal research, writing and advisory
Requirements:
- Must be actively licensed to practice law in California.
- Capability to work with a larger team.
The hourly range for this position is approximately $90 to $120 per hour. A specific rate of pay for a project will be discussed with you if it is determined that you are a potential fit for a role.
