Manufacturing Operations Manager


Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the continued transformation of operations to a world-class lean manufacturing culture.
  • Create and implement the Adams Production System using various modern tools to support continuous improvement in key areas such as safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and scrap reduction.
  • Sustain and administer continuous improvement activities that drive lean methodologies.
  • Motivate and empower the team, ensuring company strategic goals are understood and met by all team members.
  • Act as an experienced strategic planner with qualitative and quantifiable results.
  • Develop staff and organization with a vision to support future company goals and objectives.
  • Exemplify company values and act as a visionary leader.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and business acumen.
  • Present oneself as a role model to demonstrate high standards of performance and personal integrity.
  • Utilize financial management, process management, and project management skills to meet or exceed operational objectives and metrics.
  • Apply knowledge of, and experience in, lean manufacturing or the Toyota Production System (TPS) including deployment.
  • Support team processes and the empowerment of people at all levels of the organization through training, education, and management practices that reinforce individual responsibility and accountability.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Undergraduate (BA/BS) degree is required, preferably in Mechanical Engineering (ME) or Industrial Engineering (IE).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in an operations leadership role is preferred.
  • Metals or automotive industry/manufacturing process experience is highly preferred
