We are a progressive manufacturer of PET beverage bottles, supplying the Coca-Cola bottling system on the East Coast and in the Midwest. We have a proven track record of stability and sustained growth over the past 30 years, and are looking for candidates for the following position:

Blowmold Machine Operator

Summary: Responsible for operation of blowmolding equipment and any related equipment that is necessary to assure production of bottles of optimum quality.

Responsibilities:

1. Start, stop, and run blowmolding machines per established safety and operational procedures.

2. Monitor preform feed to assure continuous operation of the equipment. Verify that the correct product is produced using the correct preforms as specified by Production Scheduling. Assure that date coding equipment is operating properly and is applying the correct information.

3. Monitor production for adherence to quality specifications and notify the Team Leader of potential problems.

4. Account for machine scrap. Process scrap as directed by the Team Leader.

5. Perform visual and technical tests on bottles to verify conformity to established quality specifications.

Immediately report any out of specification product to the Team Leader.

6. Work with the Team Leader to isolate any production that has been identified as out of specification.

7. Monitor support equipment such as conveyors and labelers and immediately report any obvious malfunctions to the Maintenance Team. Assure that any automated defect detection or quality test equipment appears to be operating correctly. Perform any tests to calibrate equipment as directed.

8. Attend training classes as requested.

9. Maintain a clean working environment and follow all safety guidelines and policies at all times. Report any unsafe conditions to the Team Leader.

10. Complete any required reports as directed by the Team Leader.

11. Perform other duties as requested by the Team Leader.

12. Comply with all activities related to product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality.

13. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Job Requirements:

Physical Demands: Blowmolding Machine Operator

Purpose: Monitor, operate and adjust controls on Blowmolding machines

Description: Monitor material supply. Weigh samples and visually inspect quality of product. Lift and empty cart with co-worker. Each person lifts 45# occasionally. Pull pan of rejected material from under machine. Remove jams from preform unscramble/conveyor. Remove bottle jams from outfeed and palletizing equipment.

Requirements: fine motor skills, visual acuity, auditory function, grip, bend and lift capacity, push/pull capacity, walking and standing,

Tools-Equipment: computer, bottle cutting equipment

Handled Materials: bottles/preforms
