Position Details:
Title: Boiler Operator/ Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Baltimore, MD
Shift: 1st Shift (5/6am-1/2pm) Monday-Friday (Some weekends as needed)
Compensation: $26-$30/hr + OT as needed

Position Description:
Boiler Operators operate and maintain stationary engines and equipment such as boilers, air compressors, generators, and refrigeration equipment. They will record data and read dials, gauges, and manuals. They will adjust manual controls or override automatic controls to start or shut down equipment. The Boiler operator will perform preventative maintenance on the equipment and conduct safety tests and periodic inspections and repairs. They will record and report any actions taken and feed chemicals and caustics into systems and devices. During down times, may be required to assist in performing maintenance mechanic duties as needed.
Requirements:
A candidate for this role should have a high school diploma or equivalent and must have a grade 1 or 2 Stationary Engineer license. Candidates should have a strong mechanical background as well to assist in their boiler duties and performing maintenance as needed. They should have excellent attention to detail and knowledge of OSHA requirements. Excellent opportunity for a veteran with strong mechanical skills and experience with high pressure environments.
