Description
Job Summary:
The Warehouse Associate will complete shipments by processing and loading orders. This position will also be responsible for moving materials around the facility into staging or loading areas
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for moving, stocking, receiving, and packing outbound/inbound materials
- Loading and unloading production material from semi-trucks
- Operate different type of forklifts and material moving equipment while obtaining and maintaining certification through SUN training program
- Assists in inventory level maintenance and inventory counts
- Utilizing handheld scanner to move inventory through the facility
- Utilize computer software for investigating any part shortages, missing parts, etc.
- Responsible for following warehouse safety regulations
- Working overtime as needed to ensure we deliver for our customers
QualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities: - Oral and written communication skills
- Time management and organizational skills to keep track of inter-department deliveries and stay on schedule
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with other employees
- Attention to detail
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Clerical skills
Education and Experience: - High school diploma preferred but not required
- Performs work under minimal supervision
- Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff
- Prior warehouse experience/utilizing a hand scanner is a plus
Physical Requirements: - Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to occasionally lift 50 lbs.
