AM/NS Calvert seeks Production Planners at its facility in Calvert, Alabama. Supports manufacturing operation by providing reports and predictive analysis relevant to supplier reliability and other market trends. Daily duties include: Use software tools to track and analyze supplier data and related market intelligence, and perform constant risk analysis for assigned suppliers; Evaluate, qualify and select suppliers for assigned projects and manage related bid and contract documents; Collaborate with production and sales teams to gather feedback about production schedules in order to project procurement needs; Perform constant market research and analysis to determine impact on procurement strategies; Analyze costs within supply chain and develop models and other proposals for cost reduction strategies; Support production and quality operations with problem resolution related to supplier activity and materials; Conduct analysis and draft regular reports on procurement activities; Use analytics tools and data mining skills to produce and analyze on-demand reports as required. Must have Bachelor s Degree in computational or applied science field, such as Engineering, Computer Science, or Operations/Supply Chain Management (foreign equivalent accepted). Must have two years of experience in production planning/scheduling and/or business analysis within the steel industry.
