AJOB TITLE: Shipping/ Mailroom Clerk JOB TYPE: Full Time LOCATION: On-Site - Owatonna, MN GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Shipping/ Mailroom Clerk oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and conditions of shipments, and coordinates the Shipping Department with daily mail room activities. RESPONSIBILITIES/ ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: SHIPPING:Determine shipping priorities and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules. Ensuring that products processed for shipping are delegated to correct courier Prepare shipments for postal or commercial conveyance. Determine most economical and efficient shipping method, and arrange transportation that optimizes service and cost. Pack items to ensure safe delivery. Prepare bills of lading. PACK/ RECEIVE/ DELIVERY:Use computer hardware and software to generate labels. Package, label, and insure items for shipment.
