Job Overview - Environmental Project Manager:
Our client is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role involves managing customer relationships, overseeing project execution, and ensuring quality control throughout the project life cycle.
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000/year + bonus
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Environmental Project Manager:
- Account Management: Develop and manage customer accounts, build relationships, and scope projects.
- Project Execution: Ensure proper costing and utilization of resources; develop best practices and tools for project management.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise project team members and contractors, ensuring accountability.
- Operational Direction: Manage resources for field service projects and emergency responses.
- Change Management: Proactively manage project scope changes and devise contingency plans.
- Client Communication: Collaborate with Sales/Business Development, conduct client visits, and update clients on project status.
- P&L Responsibility: Oversee project profitability, health and safety, and overall completion.
- Post-Project Review: Conduct reviews and document recommendations and competitive issues.
Qualifications for the Environmental Project Manager:
- Education: 2-4 year College degree.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in environmental project management or related industry experience.
- Skills: Strong customer relationship management, leadership, communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Technical: Knowledge of field service work, remedial construction, equipment, environmental regulations, safety, and compliance.
