The Opportunity
Description
We're looking for a Remote Customer Service Representative, working in Healthcare Systems and Services industry in Houston, Texas, United States.

  • Obtain current patient information from established and new patients.
  • Enter and update accurately patient information in scheduling system.
  • Identify payer source and verifies insurance eligibility.
  • Assist patients with completion of paperwork when necessary.
  • Review Scheduling System for needed updated demographics and consent forms. Schedules appointments.
  • Identify patients by date of birth and name in computer system.
  • Create new account if patient not in the system.
  • Schedule and reschedule appointments as needed.
  • Demonstrate superior customer service skills.
  • Answer telephone in a timely and polite manner, preferably within three rings.
  • Communicate with customers in a courteous, professional, cooperative and mature manner.
  • Take messages and convey accurate information to recipient.
  • Transfer call to physicians and nurses when medically indicated.
  • Protect and observe patient confidentiality per policies and procedures.
  • Import registration documents into patient's electronic health record.
  • Follow up of outstanding A/R all payers and/or including self-pay and/or including resolution of denials.
  • Responsible for handling all correspondence related to an insurance or patient account, contacting insurance carriers, patients and other facilities as needed to get maximum payment on accounts and identify issues or changes to achieve client profitability.
  • Responsible for working EDI transactions and ERA files, including reconciling carrier submissions, edits and rejection reports.

Experience Required for Your Success
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years customer service call center experience and working with a Dialer and making Outbound calls.
  • Must have experience meeting production/performance goals/metrics.
  • Position will be following up with members on healthcare claims, statuses, inquiries, complaints and resolutions.
  • Must provide internet speed test from and add to resume.
  • Ability to research and resolve accounts appearing on Delinquent Insurance Report, Collection Ledger and Government Payor report as directed by management making appropriate decisions on accounts to be worked to maximize reimbursement.
