Job Description Summary:
The Finisher is responsible for performing skilled and semi-skilled work utilizing advanced tools and techniques. Determines appropriate paint, stains and fillers to achieve desired results. Applies the correct finishes, at the appropriate time, during the construction process. Disassembles furniture and reassembles upon completion of refinishing or finishing. Prepares surfaces for painting and finishing. Paints and finishes a variety of surfaces including walls and wooden articles. Hangs and finishes wall coverings. Applies textures to surfaces. Maintains a clean work area. Assists other team members with maintenance duties. May lead team members through projects.

Facilities Management, (FM), works daily to provide Jefferson County employees and visitors with a safe, functional, comfortable and sustainable working and business environment. FM is actively responsible for asset management, physical security, sustainability initiatives, daily operations and maintenance of 40 separate campuses, which includes over 50 primary owned buildings (approximately 1,500,000 sq ft) and two leased facilities (13,000sq ft), as well as miscellaneous secondary buildings, cell towers and vacant land. Provides project management services for capital projects involving County property, including planning/design for new construction, building additions, remodels and major/minor repair and replacement of building systems.
Schedule:
This position operates on a Monday- Thursday schedule, 40 hrs per week 7am-5:30pm
Compensation:
Hiring Range: $24.32-$30.40 USD Hourly
Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and skills.

Essential Duties:
* Utilizes sprayer booth and various tools, equipment and techniques to finish and refinish furniture and doors, cabinets, tables and other wooden articles. Paints or stains walls, woodwork, cabinets, tables, furniture, and other wooden articles.
* Finishes and refinishes furniture, cabinets, tables and other wooden articles. Paints or stains walls, woodwork, cabinets, tables, furniture, and other wooden articles utilizing various tools, equipment, and techniques.
* Disassembles furniture and reassembles furniture upon completion to deliver a professional result.
* Applies paint, varnishes, enamels, lacquer, polyurethane, earthen, and stains to interior and exterior surfaces. May choose paint according to application or job. Selects premixed paint or mixes paints to achieve desired color.
* Prepares surfaces for painting by removing old paint using paint remover, scraper, wire brush, or blow torch. Primes surfaces as necessary.
* Prepares multiple types of surfaces for sanding or paper hanging to include patching, scraping, sanding and masking. Sands, patches and fills wood to correctly match finish.
* Hangs and finishes drywall, sheetrock, paneling, wallpaper, tile and moldings. Fills nail holes, cracks, and joints with caulking, putty, plaster, or other filler using caulking, putty knife and other tools as needed.
* Applies texture to a variety of surfaces
* Snow removal of JeffCo Campus and around facilities as needed.
* Inspects painting jobs in order to estimate materials, equipment, labor, and costs. Tracks completion and costs of work order tasks on computer.
* Maintains and cleans work areas on completion of jobs. Cleans and maintains tools and equipment.
* Responds to service calls, assesses needs and provides problem resolution.
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimal Qualifications:
* Highschool Diploma/GED
* 3 years of work related experience
* And/or any equivalent combination of both
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* 5 years of related experience preferred
* Ability to demonstrate strong teamwork
* Strong customer service and attention to customer experience
* Strong technical skills pertaining to the use of equipment
Additional Job Information:

* CJIS is required to be passed in order to be hired.
