CA Lawton in De Pere WI is looking for a Machinist for our Machine Shop!
Metal Machinists set up and operate machine tools to shape and form metal stock and castings to fine tolerances, using detailed drawings and specifications.

What are the hours and pay?
  • 1st shift 6:00 AM- 4:00 PM Monday - Thursday (plus overtime as needed on Fridays)
  • Regular Pay $22.47-26.12/hour -Pay is based on experience.

  • Operates and maintains lathes (VTL) adjusting feed and speed settings as required.
  • Reviews instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production.
  • Takes precise measurements for cutting and shaping.
  • Selects appropriate settings for a given task, in an ISO certified shop environment.
  • Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment successfully.
  • Checks output for quality assurance and documents results
  • Identifies needs and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Maintains a clean and safe workstation and environment.
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks and requests as needed.
  • Operates forklift and other machinery as required in a safe, responsible manner.
What do you bring to the job?
  • Experience with large OD micrometers, live tooling, Vertical Turret Lathes (VTL), mills and Fanuc controls with 2 to 5 years of experience is preferred.
  • Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
  • Strongattention to detail, accuracy, and safety at all times
  • Experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to use precision tools and large micrometers to take accurate measurements.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals accurately.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with safe forklift operations - certification preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
