Job Details

Sushi Suzuki is seeking a Sushi Chef, full time. We are a high end omakase restaurant, so are seeking a detail oriented, professional with experience in omakase. The traits to be successful in this position, are willingness to learn our standards, attention to detail, passion, and teamwork.

Financial compensation will depend on skill, many people are capable of making sushi. We can offer starting pay up to $80,000 a year if you can step in and make sushi to our standards. We are also happy and willing to train the right people to elevate them to our standards. This requires a willingness to learn our way. Training and learning take time and we are dedicated to doing it right. If you have this mentality, you could be a great fit. We are a relatively small restaurant, approximately 40 covers a night. The rest of our team is a veteran staff with many years of experience. We welcome veterans and those who really want to be lifelong sushi chefs.


Qualifications:
Sushi Chef: 3 years of relevant experience. Duties will include everything from prep (breaking down fish, filleting, sauces, garnish, etc.) to service (nigiri sushi, counter service) and everything in between.

Led by Yasutaka Suzuki, trained in Japan for ten years then moved to Seattle in 2007 to continue his sushi journey. He has over 25 years of experience and has trained and worked with some of the best sushi chefs. We are doing innovative and traditional style sushi. Please check out his bio on our website.
