*Weekend shift differential pay available

*7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Sat and Sun

*8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Wednesday - Friday

**Primary Purpose :**

The primary function of the Problem Resolution Specialist (PRS) is to monitor national courier compliance through Quality Assurance data. As data is received, the PRS is responsible for monitoring and solving simple to complex issues regarding the proper transportation of medical specimens. The PRS is to provide support to other team members that may be traveling. The PRS will also be trained to assist with the processing of national accounts payable, Shipment Tracking, problem resolution escalations, and special projects as needed.

***After training is complete and competency assessed, this position would be eligible to work from home.***

**Essential Functions** :

Investigate and resolve all national courier index issues that have been logged into ARUPs QA system within five business days of receipt. Work with national couriers to ensure issues are legitimate and that corrective action is implemented when necessary. Pull reports when necessary to ascertain those couriers with continual problems and make recommendations when it is felt courier changes should be implemented.

Assist in tracking courier/carrier costs by using data within department databases to pull reports and manipulate data to provide statistical analysis.

Assist in pulling daily reports from the ESP Shipment Tracking System and Infoview. Send out violations for shipments with errors by contacting the national courier group about the error and seek corrective action. Provide these reports upon request to interdepartmental entities when necessary.

Be able to do monthly courier/carrier billing when required.

Know and understand the Shipment Tracking Specialist (STS) duties. Work in conjunction with this group and provide necessary support as needed.

Represent ARUP and respond to the client's needs in a positive and professional manner.

Represent ARUP Transportation Department when dealing with outside couriers in resolving issues.

Other duties as assigned.

**Physical and Other Requirements** :

Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.

Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.

ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Fine Motor Control: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.

Vision: Having close, far, and peripheral visual acuity to perform a variety of tasks such as make general observations of depth and distance.

Continuing Education: Continual assessment of current literature and best practices.

Two years of experience in shipping/transportation, operation support, problem resolution or customer service

Type 35 wpm

**Preferred**

One year of experience.as a Shipment Tracking Specialist

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Experience creating queries in Access

Experience with 10-key
