**Position Summary/Objective**
The Delivery Driver position is responsible for delivering company restaurant supplies and equipment in a company vehicle and providing excellent customer service to our clients.
**Essential Functions & Responsibilities**
* Safely operate a box truck (anywhere from 16 to 32) and transport purchased restaurant equipment and supplies to clients in a company vehicle
* Safely unload and deliver merchandise to customer sites using the equipment provided (hand truck, pallet jack, 4-wheel dolly) and ensure all proper paperwork is in order
* Provide excellent customer service to clients. Be a liaison between client and company during deliveries and alert the appropriate person/department if issues arise
* Process the appropriate paperwork for shipping and receive of company product.
* Assist and perform warehouse operation duties as required
* Interact with customer representatives in a professional, friendly, and attentive manner during delivery.
* Have all orders checked in by customer and get customer to sign or get name for invoice
**Competencies, Skills & Abilities**
* Valid drivers license and a clean driving record
* Ability to perform physical demands, as listed below. Must be able to move and lift 75 lbs. and frequently bend, twist, reach and lift
* Excellent communication skills
* Professional appearance is a must
* Dependable, reliable and team player
* Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required
* Must have good record-keeping skills, attention-to-detail, and the ability to check for errors and be able to problem-solve
* Be able to interface with other departments and teams in a professional and cooperative manner
* Work diligently and professionally in the pursuit of department and company goals. Be able to displace a disciplined, professional attitude always
* Ability to use pallet jack and forklift
**Education & Experience**
* High school diploma or GED required.
* Prior truck driving experience is a must (minimum 16 truck)
* Prior experience operating a hand truck and liftgate a plus.
* DOT medical card
* Valid Class C license
**Background**
* Ability to successfully pass a background check
* May be asked to perform a drug test for specific positions
* Must be a legal citizen or otherwise permitted to legally work in the US without sponsorship
