POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Part-time Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy facility by completing various tasks. Under the direction of the Branch Director, the Part-time Janitor is responsible for the cleanliness and order of the Peach Springs Branch. Utilizes the organization's mission, vision, and values to set members up for success and provide an outcome-driven Club experience. Responsibilities include but are not limited to program area safety and cleanliness, cleaning and supplying designated building areas, performing and documenting routine inspection and maintenance activities, and carrying out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Janitorial Responsibilities:
Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.)
Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces.
Maintain outer premises by cleaning entrances, wiping mirrors and windows.
Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities.
Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
Make adjustments and minor repairs.
Stock and maintain supply rooms.
Ensuring spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces.
Follow all health and safety regulations.
Additional Responsibilities:
Supports and mirrors the culture, mission, values, and core beliefs of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Required:
Must be at least 18 years old.
High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.
Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
Ability to multitask and readily adapt to Club's changing needs.
Verrbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and cooperative working skills.
Flawless ethics & integrity.
Safety oriented mindset.
Recommended:
Direct janitorial experience.
Ability to earn and maintain CPR and First Aide certifications.
