Skills Alliance Executive are partnered with a global leader in the veterinary diagnostics space, to hire their Global Head of Medical Affairs to lead a newly restructured team, and bridge the gap between the vet community and the innovative portfolio and pipeline the company possesses. This individual will report to the Global Chief Medical Officer, a high-profile industry leader.
We are looking for an ambitious and inspiring leader in the veterinary space, with a background in innovative research and new product development, and a track record of delivering commercial success alongside the potential to succeed executive leaders in the future.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead a diverse team of specialists and subject matter experts, who are responsible for informing both internal and external audiences (practitioners, academics, sales teams, etc.), on relevant medical messages.
- Ensure deployment of relevant areas of expertise, to other areas of the business when required, to achieve new product development goals are met.
- Lead on the creation and activation of the medical roadmap, ensuring medical relevancy and prioritising innovation and integrity of new products to be brought to market.
- Cross-functional communication, engaging across various lines of business, including marketing and R&D.
Qualifications required
- DVM (or equivalent) with strong medical veterinary background.
- Board certification in veterinary discipline.
- Experience in private practise, in addition to industry experience (innovation/new product development essential).
- Proven leadership and management experience, with a track record of leading successful teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
East Coast residency essential, regular on-site requirement.
